POLYMER BIOMATERIALS SCIENTIST WON BEST 3 MINUTES POSTER PITCH AT DRUG DELIVERY SEMINAR SERIES 1/2019

PENANG, 14 January 2019 – Malaysian Society of Pharmaceutical Technology (MSPT) in cooperation with Controlled Release Society, Malaysia Local Chapter (MyCRS), has organized their first Drug Delivery Seminar Series 1/2019 in School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM.

The aim of the seminar was to gather Malaysian drug delivery researchers, students and industries under one roof. Activities that were held included talk by the experts, poster presentation and 3 Minutes Poster Pitch competition.

The Polymer Biomaterials Scientist, Dr. Zuratul Ain Abdul Hamid from the School of Materials & Mineral Resources Engineering, USM has won the Best 3 Minutes Poster Pitch Award.

Her research entitle ‘Drug Release Profile Study of Gentamicin Encapsulated Poly(lactic Acid) Micropsheres for Drug Delivery’ has attracted the panel judges attention and has beaten 8 other participants in the competition. Dr. Zuratul Ain Abdul Hamid has received a prize worth RM500 and certificate.
