ENGINEERING CAMPUS’S CORPORATE VIDEO RECEIVED RECOGNITION

KEPALA BATAS, 26th January 2016 - The persistent effort by a group of Engineering Campus staffs in creating a campus corporate video was worth it when it was pro claimed the winner for the quality competition in conjunction with the 2015 USM Quality Convention held at the Productivity Hall, Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), Kepala Batas, Penang today.

The video which is 4 minutes and 44 seconds long is fully the brainchild of the Engineering Campus internal staffs led by the Director of Collaborative micro-Electronic Design Excellence Centre (CEDEC), Prof. Dr. Mohd Zaid Abdullah as the advisor with the guidance of Dr. Aftanasar Md. Shahar acting as the Coordinator.

The juries were also impressed with the School Of Civil Engineering that placed first for the Webpage category and the Engineering Campus Library for the 5S category.

The 2015 USM Quality Convention acknowledges all the USM populace who have been in service from various fields involving quality.

400 attendees were present at the Convention which was held incongruent with the Vice Chancellor’s 2016 Annual Message for the Advanced Dental and Medical Institute (IPPT).

Also present were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Jantan, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs) Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Shukri Mustapa Kamal, Assistant Vice-Chancellor cum Director of the Health Campus and HUSM Director Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mafauzy Mohamed,  the Director of Advanced Dental and Medical Institute Dr. Norehan Mokhtar, Deputy Director General of the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Tuan Haji Ab. Rahim Yusoff, Chief Executive Officer of Bureau Veritas Certification (M) Sdn Bhd and representative from TUV Rheinland Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
