WORK AS A FAMILY SAID AHMAD FARHAN
NIBONG TEBAL, 2nd March 2016 – Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, today, briefed all the Engineering Campus representatives from the clubs and societies, at Lecture Hall 11, Engineering Campus, University Sains Malaysia (USM).
35 clubs and societies’ representatives were present and 82 other students were gathered at the session.
According to Ahmad Farhan, students need to work together as a family in order to organise large-scale programmes such as the Career Fair which has its own strengths.
”I gather, the Career Fair could be a benchmark for us since it has provided a clear impact and has been successfully organized within these 10 years”, he said.
He explained, students have to familiarise themselves as a great leader in financial organisation, programme organisation, teamwork within the programme and leadership that could involve all students at the Engineering Campus.
Meanwhile, Head of Unit, Student Affairs and Alumni (HEPA), Engineering Campus, Nur Akmar Idris said, there are 94 active clubs and societies for 2015 which ran a variety of programmes.
”HEPA is fully responsible in managing all the societies’ planning and ensuring they are conducted in accordance to the law and not going against the university’s rules and policies”, Nur Akmar said.
Mrs. Nur akmar added, her department is responsible in overseeing all the students’ activities and the programmes’ progress as well as being directly involved in the activities themselves.
HEPA is also responsible in scrutinizing the proposals for each project application and act as the advisor to all the societies and clubs.
