50 STAFF ATTENDED THE INHERITANCE, WILL AND HIBAH SEMINAR

NIBONG TEBAL, 4 February 2016 – 50 participants among the Engineering Campus staff, University Sains Malaysia (USM) attended the “Inheritance, Will and Hibah Seminar” here yesterday.

Organized by the Pusat Transformasi Insan (PTI), Universiti Sains Malaysia was delivered by Chief Executive Officer, Wasiyyah Shoppe Sdn Bhd, Azrin Sabirin and held at the Seminar Hall, Administration Building.

According to the Chief Executive Officer, Wasiyyah Shoppe Sdn Bhd, the majority of Muslims’ inheritance is difficult to inherit after a passing because they can only be inherited after the heir goes through a complicated legal process in order to acquire the power of attorney letter and distribution order.

“RM42b assets are frozen due to the lack of time for the heir to manage the inheritance and the high management cost is among the factors for the failure of the will to be resolved”, he explained.

Azrin added further, hibah literally means a gift whereby we are free to present the hibah to anyone desired and it must be done while we are still living and it is the most effective way in inheritance distribution.

The program was organized to provide exposure as well as to increase knowledge for participants in relations to inheritance, will and hibah.
