NIBONG TEBAL, September 29, 2017 – The Association of Islamic Centres for Women Affairs (HELWA) in collaboration with the Islamic Center of Engineering Campus opened an opportunity for the campus community to learn gardening from home through its Kitchen Garden program recently.
Participants in this program were taught the right method to plant vegetables and the use of suitable fertilizers according to the types of trees that planted by the Agriculture Assistant Officer from the Development Department, Adha Abdul Ghani.

Apart from encouraging the cultivation of healthy and fresh vegetables from home, home gardening also indirectly reduces household daily expenditure and helps in sustaining a green Earth for future generations.
At the end of the program, participants also had the opportunity to learn practical ways to plant bird eye pepper (chili padi) while being demonstrated by Assistant Agriculture Officer from the Development Department, Muhammad Syamim Abdul Razak.
