Two teams of second and third-year students from the School of Civil Engineering have won the first place and consolation prize at the UTAR Structural Earthquake Stability (SES) Competition 2018. The competition was held on 31 March at UTAR Sungai Long Campus. A total of 29 teams from 16 higher education institutions all over the country participated in this competition.
PENANG, 29 MARCH 2018 - For the 3rd time in the last 5 years, USM once again won the prestigious jointly organized, the Malaysian Steel Structural Association (MSSA) and Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Open Ideas Competition (OIC) for the year 2018 (MSSA-CIDB OIC 2018), which is the only design competition in Malaysia that combines Architectural and Civil Engineering Students for each team participated.
