THE DIRECTOR’S FIRST 100 DAYS EXCURSION COMMENCES

NIBONG TEBAL, 7th January 2016 – Engineering Campus Director, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah initiated his first 100 days excursion after accepting the responsibility to head the campus from the 1st of January 2016.

According to Ahmad Farhan who is also the Dean of the School of Civil Engineering, the excursions among others is to get acquainted with the university staffs and to discuss in detail about saving opportunities as well as money generating ideas.
 
“Everyone needs to cooperate in ensuring the university’s aspirations and plans will be achieved,” he explains after his visit to the Accreditation and Quality Office, Co-curriculum Planning Center and Media Department, Director’s Office.
 
“Other than that, I would like to oversee the current management within the increase in performance facet”, he added.

He also said, all the information gathered from the excursion will be utilized for his first 100 days and hopefully will be understood wholly from the department’s ability before any types of planning.

“I gather, the challenge is clear in how we have to manage the university within the limited budget but at the same time to be hopeful and aim higher for the campus’s excellence”, said Ahmad Farhan.
 
“This is the beginning and I hope to be having excursions to all the departments and this campus”, he added further.
 
Ahmad Farhan who had spearheaded several departments not only for the university but outside the university as well, including holding the post of Director for the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) also admitted that 2016 will be somewhat challenging.
 
During the excursion, he also inspected the facilities and buildings of the departments involved including the Lecture Hall Complex as well as receiving complaints which needed immediate attention.
