KOSISWA BROUGHT HOME RM10,000
NIBONG TEBAL, 8 Mei 2016 –USM Engineering Students Nibong Tebal Co-Operative Berhad (KOSISWA) succeeded in taking back RM10,000 as an initial capital after winning the preliminary round during High Performing Student Cooperatives competition held at the Tabung Haji Kelana Hotel, Selangor recently.
The competition organized from 6th to 8th May 2016 by Malaysia Co-Operative Societies Commission (SKM) and National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN) with collaboration of the Co-Operative College of Malaysia (MKM) and Malaysian National Co-Operative Movement Berhad (ANGKASA) also participated by most of the cooperative organizations from all over Malaysia namely UNIMAS co-operative, Lahad Datu, IKBN, UITM and a few others.
KOSISWA had sent three two-minute participations through YouTube and was reviewed by a panel of juries to qualify them to participate in the Business Design Workshop (BDW) program which was compulsory as one of the evaluation requirements.
From the three, only two projects qualified for the second preliminary rounds which were Brainy Choco Moo and Functional Coffee.
Brainy Choco Moo was one of the projects selected to the semi finals from 79 projects contested and evaluated through Business Pitching.
Only 30 projects qualified to the semi finals as well as succeeding in taking home the initial capital of RM10, 000 in cash.
Among other co-operatives participating in the competition were Ez-Pump from KV Betong Co-Operative Berhad, Shawl from UKM Students Co-Operative Berhad, D’paletto from KV Dato Lela Maharaja Rembau Co-Operative Berhad, Jem Halia from College Community Sabak Bernam Co-Operative Berhad, Lemang Rotator from IKBN Bukit Mertajam Co-Operative Berhad and many more.
