RAMADHAN, A MADRASAH TRAINING PACKAGE FOR MUSLIMS

NIBONG TEBAL, 19 August 2016 – It has been fourteen days since Ramadan and the celebration of Aidilfitri with the festivities of open houses everywhere.

The Islamic Center, Engineering Campus, University Sains Malaysia (USM) also held an open house for the entire campus and the surrounding community.

The guest speaker, Ustaz Roslan Che Ros in delivering his tazkirah said that Ramadan is a training school for all Muslims regardless of their position or status.

 “It is an actual benchmark for a believer who had gone through the 30 day Ramadan’s tarbiah had actually succeeded in the training to be a true practitioner or not”, said Roslan.

Among the traits learned from the Ramadan is the virtue of patience.

 “Let Ramadan leave us with patience and Aidilfitri is our success in re-engaging with our human nature in being people who worship Allah SWT”, advised the well known speaker in our country.

Meanwhile, the Chairman, Sports Club and Engineering Staff’s Welfare (KKSSK), Professor Dr. Nor Azazi Zakaria who represented the Deputy Vice-Chancellor said one of the benefits of Ramadan is derived from the demands of time management.

He also touched on the preparations before meeting the creator, Allah SWT and constantly to do good among fellow human beings.

 “Would all our practices be sufficient in ensuring us the heaven which had been promised by Allah”, said Nor Azazi who is also the Director of River Engineering and Urban Drainage research Center (REDAC).

The event held at the Foyer, Islamic Center was a tradition of appreciation and celebration of the Ramadan Activities Committee Members Engineering Campus, on the success and smooth sailing of the programmes during Ramadan and as a token of gratitude to the entire campus populace in supporting the Islamic Center.

Also present at the ceremony were the Director Islamic Center, University Sains Malaysia (USM), Professor Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Idiris Saleh, Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Dr. Zainal Alimuddin Zainal Alauddin and Deputy Director, River Engineering and Urban Drainage research Center (REDAC), Profesor Dr. Aminuddins Ab. Ghani.
