DHL CHATBOT IN MICROSOFT AZURE WON THE CONSOLATION PRIZE IN DHL EXPRESS DESIGN CHALLENGE
NIBONG TEBAL, 10 August 2021 - A project entitled “DHL Chatbot in Microsoft Azure [USM]” had won the consolation prize in DHL Express Design Challenge and was granted a cash prize of RM 500 and award certification.
The prototype was developed by a team comprising Lee Shea Wen (Mechanical 3rd year), Ong Zi Hui (Mechanical 3rd year) and Ng Wen Sien (Electronic 3rd year), supervised by Dr. Yu Kok Hwa and Dr. Teoh Yew Heng of Mechanical Engineering. The aim of this project is to design a chatbot solution through Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services LUIS and QnA Maker that could assist DHL Express customers as well as customer service agents to answer queries related to updated export/import restrictions and shipping requirements for different countries.
The team leader, Shea Wen, 23, express that the competition was especially meaningful to them since everything is a new experience. It was their first time to venture into cloud computing-related project and they are very delighted that their 7 months effort had bear fruits to getting an award prize, as well as recognitions from the panel judges.
