35 RESOLUTIONS ACHIEVED FROM ACADEMIC QUALITY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMME

PULAU PINANG, 9 November 2015 – 30 participants who are academicians from the Engineering Campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) successfully participated in the Academic Quality Enhancement Programme which was held at the Maritime Waterfront Hotel, Penang, yesterday.


The participants were from the Engineering Campus Coordination Committee (JPK), Outcome Based Education Management Committee (OBE), representatives from the School of Language, Literacies and Translation as well as the Co-Curricular Planning Center.

The two day programme commencing on the 7th of November 2015 was organized by the Quality and Accreditation Department (Q&A) with the cooperation of the Division of Academic Management, Registry Department, Engineering Campus, USM.

According to the Coordinator, Division of Quality and Accreditation, Sr. Associate Prof. Dr. Mohd Sanusi S. Ahamad, the priority of organizing the programme is to further strengthen OBE’s achievement for all the eleven engineering programmes offered here.

 “Besides that, the programme is intended to identify the critical elements which influenced the quality and the future of the next engineering programme in preparing useful proposals as solutions”, he said during dinner at the Panorama1 Hall, Maritime Waterfront Hotel.

“As a whole, the programme is considered successfully administered through the brain storming in enhancing the academic quality at the Engineering Campus”, he explained.

As many as 35 resolutions were achieved and approved by the JPK in the special event by the committee which will be presented in the Engineering Campus Management Committee Meeting (JPKK) for approval and implementation.
