USM ICE 2026 EXPECTED TO BOOST INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING AND RESEARCH NETWORKS
NIBONG TEBAL, 12 May 2026 - Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), through the Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Engineering Campus, will organise the USM International Conference on Engineering 2026 (USM ICE 2026) from 28 to 29 October 2026 at SPICE Arena, Penang.
The international conference is being held in conjunction with the 25th anniversary celebration of the Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Engineering Campus and is expected to gather researchers, academicians, industry practitioners, and engineering experts from both Malaysia and abroad.
Carrying the theme “Advances AI-Driven and Sustainability-Led Global Impact”, the conference will serve as a platform for idea sharing, research presentations, and discussions related to technology innovation driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and global sustainability.
USM ICE 2026 will also feature five specialised conferences organised by USM’s engineering schools, namely the School of Civil Engineering, School of Aerospace Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Materials and Mineral Resources Engineering, and School of Chemical Engineering.
In conjunction with the programme, the Malaysia Semiconductor Summit 2026 (MSS2026) will also be held, organised by the Semiconductor Committee of the Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Engineering Campus through the Collaborative Microelectronic Design Excellence Centre (CEDEC).
The multi-conference concept is expected to create opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration and strengthen academic as well as industry networks in the fields of aerospace, civil, chemical, materials, mechanical, and environmental engineering.
Among the main objectives of the conference are to provide a platform for the presentation and publication of high-quality research, expand international professional networks, and highlight high-impact research and innovation that support future technology and sustainability agendas.
In this regard, the organising committee welcomes participation and the submission of original papers from academicians, researchers, industry players, and research institutions from around the world.
