JOHOR BAHRU, 12 May 2025 – The Civil Engineering Society (CIVES), in collaboration with the Student Representative Council School of Civil Engineering (MPP PPKA), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), recently organised an academic visit and official benchmarking session to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

According to MPP PPKA representative Muhammad Nuraiman Mohd Yusrino, the programme, held from 9 to 12 May, was the result of a close collaboration between CIVES and MPP PPKA aimed at expanding strategic networks and enriching student leadership and management experience.

“Especially in the field of civil engineering,” he added.

Aiman further stated that the USM delegation was honoured to conduct a knowledge-sharing session with the UTM Civil Engineering Association (PEKA UTM), who warmly welcomed the delegation.

“CIVES is truly grateful for PEKA UTM’s willingness to spend time sharing their experiences, ideas, and effective approaches that have empowered civil engineering students and strengthened student organisations at UTM,” said Aiman.

He noted that as the first delegation jointly organised by CIVES and MPP PPKA, the programme marked a significant milestone in efforts to enhance character development, leadership, and academic excellence among civil engineering students at USM.

“The experience gained, and networks established throughout this programme are expected to serve as a catalyst for future improvements and innovations in student organisation management,” he added.
