NADA LESTARI @ SERC ORGANISES HEALTHY EATING PROGRAMME AT TUANKU SYED SIRAJUDDIN ENGINEERING CAMPUS

NIBONG TEBAL, 9 February 2026 - The Nada Lestari @ SERC: Bite and Bloom – The Secret to Healthy Eating programme, organised by Nada Lestari @ the Centre for Science and Engineering Research (SERC) in collaboration with the Engineering Campus Sustainability Secretariat, was successfully held today at the Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Engineering Campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
The programme, which focused on health sustainability through healthy eating practices, was attended by 48 participants among members of the campus community.
SERC Coordinator, Hariy Pauzi, expressed her highest appreciation and gratitude to all parties who had worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the programme.


“This programme is highly aligned with our efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle culture while supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being,” she said.
She added that the programme was not merely a seminar, but also included practical demonstrations and hands-on healthy food preparation activities that can be easily adopted in daily life.
“I believe such an approach can enhance participants’ understanding of the importance of selecting balanced, nutritious and safe food, thereby creating a positive impact on individual, family and community health,” she said.


She also expressed hope that the programme would broaden participants’ perspectives and instil awareness that healthy eating is a long-term investment in overall well-being, while encouraging continuous sharing and practice of the knowledge gained.
Among the key highlights of the programme was a healthy eating seminar delivered by Nutrition Officer from the Seberang Perai Selatan District Health Office (PKD SPS), Juliani Faridza Alias.
The programme also featured a healthy food preparation demonstration by Roziana Mat Said, followed by a nutrition briefing by Nutrition Officer from Klinik Kesihatan Bandar Tasik Mutiara, Nurliyana Saidin, and Nutrition Officer from Klinik Kesihatan Sungai Acheh, Izzati Ibrahim.
