Universiti Sains Malaysia
Introduction

The Engineering Library of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), now known as the Musa Mohamad Library, is an integral component of the USM Library system located at the Engineering Campus in Nibong Tebal, Penang. The library was established in 1986, in line with the founding of the Engineering Campus, to support academic, research, and learning needs in various fields of engineering.

In its early days, the library operated in Ipoh, Perak, in 1986 as a temporary facility for engineering students. Subsequently, in 1989, the campus and library relocated to Seri Iskandar, Tronoh, also in the state of Perak. Finally, in 2001, the campus and library settled permanently at its current location in Nibong Tebal, Penang.

Since its establishment, the library has grown in parallel with the development of the academic schools and the increasing number of students at the Engineering Campus. It offers a comprehensive collection of scholarly materials, including textbooks, journals, final year project reports, as well as access to various electronic databases. With a strong commitment to delivering efficient and relevant library services, the Musa Mohamad Library continues to play a vital role in supporting USM's academic mission as a centre of excellence in education and research.
