500 STUDENTS LIVENED UP IDEA FAIR 2016

NIBONG TEBAL, 20 April 2016 – More than 500 students and 80 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tinggi Bukit Mertajam, Sekolah Kebangsaan Saujana Indah and Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan Chung Ling, Pulau Pinang visited the Innovation, Design, Engineering & Art, better known as IDEA FAIR 2016 held at the Multipurpose Hall (DSG), Engineering Campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) recently.

Organized by the Robotic Club Engineering Campus committee, the program intended to provide inspiration, creativity and encourage innovation among the engineering students to forge a brighter future.

IDEA FAIR 2016 is one of the mediums for the Engineering Campus students to exhibit their inventions and be exposed to the latest engineering knowledge and technology.

Other than that, it is also a very direct and sound medium for the students to gain more knowledge which could not be obtained from text books and lectures.

By attending the program, students may gain exposure from the outside community to gain more current knowledge and experience and latest technology being utilized.

Bosch, National Instruments and Recron Malaysia the sponsors for the program were also invited to exhibit their products while providing explanations to students about the theories and concepts that was carried out for them.

Other than that, Garena Malaysia and Print Cut Press Solutions were also invited to exhibit products as well as providing explanations regarding them and the benefits procured through their usage to the students generally and society specifically.

At the same time, both workshops were handled by Bosch with the purpose of providing technology exposure and advisory based on the students’ courses and by interacting with outside corporate companies that would further open the minds of future engineers who are knowledgeable, practical, creative and innovative.
