HEALTH TALK AND EXERCISE DEMO ENCOURAGE ACTIVE LIVING AMONG ENGINEERING CAMPUS COMMUNITY
NIBONG TEBAL, 3 July – Over 60 participants from the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Engineering Campus took part in a health talk and physical activity demonstration titled “Exercise for Health”, held today at the Seminar Hall.
The engaging session was led by Norhiman Ahmad, Assistant Science Officer from the Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (IPPT), USM.
Through a concise explanation and live demonstration, participants were exposed to stretching techniques and light exercises that can be practiced as part of their daily routine.
This event was held as part of the Santai Sihat @ Kejuruteraan 2025 programme, jointly organised by the Office of the Director of the Engineering Campus and the Campus Health Unit.
Earlier, on 1 July 2025, a virtual health talk titled “Healthy Eating: From Fat to Fit” was delivered by Mohd Hakim Zakaria, Senior Dietitian from the School of Health Sciences, USM.
The event was attended by about 190 people.
Both sessions were held in support of the Santai Sihat programme’s goal to enhance health awareness and promote healthy lifestyle practices among the campus community.
