REGISTRAR’S MEETING STRENGTHENS COLLABORATION AND SERVICE EXCELLENCE AT USM

NIBONG TEBAL, 18 December 2025 - The Registrar’s Department of the main campus, in collaboration with the Registrar’s Department of the Engineering Campus, today organised a Registrar’s Meeting with Administrative Officers and Assistant Administrative Officers.
The session involved the Engineering Campus and the Clinical and Cancer Research Centre (PPKPK).
Held at the Rafflesia Seminar Room, Science and Engineering Research Centre (SERC), the meeting aimed to enhance understanding and strengthen university governance through discussions on management direction and policies led by the Registrar.
Key discussion points included advisory roles to PTJ Heads, confidentiality compliance, financial management, integrity enhancement, discipline and conduct management, implementation of the Annual Work Target (SKT) and Flexible Attendance Control System (SKKF), ethics and dress code, emergency leave, staff relations, service delivery, post optimisation, Performance Evaluation Reports (LPP), asset officer responsibilities, and other matters related to human resource management.


The meeting, attended by Heads of Administration of Responsibility Centres (PTJ), Administrative Officers, and Assistant Administrative Officers from both divisions, also highlighted the rebranding of the Engineering Campus and IPPT, as well as the strategic direction of the university.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to seek clarifications and share views, thereby contributing to stronger collaboration and excellence in service delivery at Universiti Sains Malaysia.
The meeting was also attended by Director of the Engineering Campus, Professor Ir. Dr. Mariatti Jaafar@Mustapha, Senior Deputy Registrar, Engineering Campus, Encik Hafiz Assad Zakaria, and Deputy Registrar, PPKPK, Encik Yusmadi Norashid Norashid.
