FAMA-JLU USM COLLABORATION PROGRAM 2026 EMPOWERS ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND DIGITAL MARKETING

NIBONG TEBAL, 14 January 2026 - Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), through Desasiswa Jaya Lembaran Utama (JLU), in strategic collaboration with the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), organised the JLU Digital Biz Programme from Jan 14 to 15, 2026 at Pusat Mahasiswa (PUMA).
The programme marked the first collaboration of its kind between USM and FAMA, reflecting the strong commitment of both parties to strengthen ties between academia and government agencies in developing holistic and competitive human capital.
The JLU Digital Biz Programme was designed as an initiative to expose participants to and enhance their knowledge and skills in digitalisation and entrepreneurship, particularly in the context of today’s business and digital marketing landscape.

It also aligns with USM’s aspiration to produce graduates who are highly knowledgeable, practically skilled and capable of adapting to the evolving needs of industry and the job market.
JLU Desasiswa head Hasliza Mat Saad said in an increasingly digital driven era, mastery of digital skills and a strong understanding of the digital business ecosystem are no longer optional but essential.
“As such, the programme focuses on equipping participants with relevant digital marketing competencies, including social media marketing strategies, digital branding, content management, digital market analysis and data driven marketing techniques,” she said.
Hasliza added that the initiative aims to enhance graduate employability while nurturing a community of competitive young entrepreneurs and marketing agents.

Throughout the programme, participants were exposed to a wide range of beneficial content, including talks, industry sharing sessions, interactive discussions and hands on activities designed to strengthen their understanding and practical application of digital marketing.
“The programme also serves as a platform for knowledge and experience sharing among students, entrepreneurs, agencies and industry players, while opening doors for continuous collaboration in the future,” she added.
A total of 180 participants, comprising students from various academic backgrounds, entrepreneurs, and key stakeholders, took part in the well-received programme, reflecting strong interest and commitment to building entrepreneurship and digital marketing capabilities.
The organisers also expressed their highest appreciation and gratitude to the organising committees from USM and FAMA for their close cooperation, dedication, and commitment in making the JLU Digital Biz Programme a success.
