NIBONG TEBAL, 11 February 2026 - Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Engineering Campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), continues to foster a culture of togetherness and volunteerism throughout the month of Ramadan, a tradition that has long served as an example for other institutions.

The statement was delivered by USM Islamic Centre Director, Ustaz Zayd Zhari, representing the Campus Director during the inauguration of the Hilal Ramadan 1447H/2026M celebration held here today.

He highlighted that the strength of the activities lies in the enduring spirit of campus unity, which encompasses spiritual, charitable, and sustainability initiatives year after year.

“Ramadan is the perfect time for self-reflection and to strengthen the quality of our worship. Hilal Ramadan is not merely a marker of the holy month, but a starting point to evaluate personal performance,” Zayd said.

“Therefore, strive to make this Ramadan better than the previous one and use it as an opportunity to improve our relationship with Allah and with fellow human beings,” he added.

Ustaz Zayd also urged campus members to increase their prayers and plan structured acts of worship throughout Ramadan so that each day is filled with meaningful deeds.

“The blessings of Ramadan should be appreciated with sincere gratitude,” he said.
