KKTSS USM RECEIVES ACADEMIC VISIT FROM UNIVERSITAS AL-AZHAR INDONESIA

NIBONG TEBAL, 18 August 2026 - Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Engineering Campus (KKTSS), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), through the School of Electric and Electronic Engineering (PPKEE), today received an academic visit from Universitas Al-Azhar, Indonesia.

The visit was aimed at strengthening ties between the two institutions while exploring potential collaboration in the areas of academia and research.

The visit involved Rector, Associate Professor Dr. Ir. Mawardi from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Associate Professor Yoga Tri Nugraga from the Department of Electronics, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Al-Azhar.

The two representatives from Universitas Al-Azhar were received by Deputy Dean (Academic, Career and International), PPKEE, Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Rosmiwati Mohd Mokhtar, together with Deputy Dean (Research, Innovation and Industry-Community Engagement), Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Nasiruddin Mahyuddin, as well as the respective Programme Chairpersons.

During the visit, both parties exchanged information on the management of academic programmes and curricula, while the delegation was also taken on a tour of the laboratories and facilities at PPKEE.

The visit also provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange views and share experiences, further strengthening the relationship between USM and Universitas Al-Azhar.
