FROM ENGINEER TO CEO: OSK PROPERTY SHARES CAREER JOURNEY WITH PPKA STUDENTS

NIBONG TEBAL, 16 October 2026 - A total of 90 students from the School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), attended an industry talk titled “Building Your Career Path in the Property Development Industry”, featuring OSK Property Chief Executive Officer of Property Development, Chu Wai Lune.

During the session, Chu shared his career journey from working as an engineer to leading an organisation as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Under the theme “From Engineer to CEO”, he provided insights into the property development industry and highlighted the importance of technical experience, leadership skills and management capabilities in professional career development.

The students who attended the programme included final-year Civil Engineering students, who gained insights into the various career pathways available to engineering graduates, including property development, project management and construction.

In addition to the career sharing session, the programme featured introductions to OSK Group and OSK Property, a dialogue session, a question-and-answer session, and interactive activities that enabled students to engage directly with industry representatives.

The programme reflects the School of Civil Engineering’s ongoing efforts to strengthen university-industry relations, particularly by exposing students to the practical application of academic knowledge and the skills required in the workplace.

Such initiatives also support USM’s commitment to producing graduates with strong technical foundations who are able to adapt to the evolving needs of industry.
